The fact is, censorship in the news is a universal problem. Every country and its state media outlets promote a certain point of view that dovetails with the national narrative. But some infamous countries take censorship to extreme lengths. They twist and manipulate stories to completely mask the truth. So we want to team up with Reporters Sans Frontier to show people around the world how these countries stymie a free and open press. To that end, we want to create the CensoGram App that shows in real-time through a series of country-specific filters how stories are airbrushed, twisted and spun in such a way so that only a certain version of events gets reported to its citizenry.
